Birds (Or How To Be One)

For the poster design of the hybrid multi-genre cine-quest by Babis Makridis we applied the typical perhaps childish method of ‘image reversion’ to reflect on the nature of visual perception and the order of the world. Becoming a bird so to speak is also turning around or deviating from known recognizable standards of the established modus operandi. Reminding us that the human convex lens is causing images to be projected top-down and bottom-up on our retina. Escaping from the visual corrections of our formatted mind, or to take a bird’s perspective on human representations, could be a remaining object of desire.
